Student Exchange Australia is delighted to announce the winners of the latest Make Your Mark creative design competition.

First place goes to Ross Wiech from NSW for his design "the Torch Bearer".

A panel of judges from Student Exchange Australia chose "the Torch Bearer" from the Top Ten designs which had been decided by popular vote by users of the site. The panel commented that 'the Torch Bearer' was a creative and symbolic design which made clever use of Obama's inauguration speech to help differentiate the design. The design had also proven extremely popular with the users of the site. Ross wins a $3,500 scholarship toward a year exchange program or $2,500 toward a semester exchange program or a laptop computer. He also gets a Dick Smith Electronics voucher valued at $100 and a Lonely Planet guide book.

Second place goes to Ngan Huynh from WA for her design "Untitled". Ngan wins $2,000 toward a year exchange program or $1,500 toward a semester exchange program, a Dick Smith Electronics voucher valued at $100 plus a Lonely Planet guidebook. The panel commented that Ngan's design was an original and simple idea which also illustrated her interpretation of the theme well.

Third place goes to Rebekka Lord-Johnson from NSW for her design "Obama". Rebecca wins $1,500 toward a year exchange program or $1,000 toward a semester exchange program, a Dick Smith Electronics voucher valued at $100 and a Lonely Planet guidebook. The panel commented that "Obama" was an incredibly well drawn design, showing great skill, and that the sketch gave the design a nice personal feel.

Congratulations to Ross, Ngan, and Rebecca for their success and to the remaining top 10 finalists who will each receive Dick Smith Electronics gift vouchers. Thanks also to everyone who submitted designs and took part in the comp.

The New comp will start on or around Friday 4th September 2009.
