Concept statement
To sow the same seeds of understanding I had developed while researching sportswear derived from nature, within others, I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate than representing this through the analogy of growing something from a seedling. I wanted the design to visually remind people of some of the elements all seed packets exhibit like the vision (illustrated) and specific environmental instructions. So hopefully my design sows what ASICS sews!
Where in the world would you go to and why?
Italy to experience their food, culture, style and passion and did I mention the food!
Favourite stuff?

What will you be doing in 10 years?
Ideally playing basketball professionally but most definitely caring for animals.
Why should you win this competition?
I would make a keen ambassador for both Student Exchange Australia and ASICS and winning a scholarship would allow me to give back financially to my parents who have been saving and dreaming with me of the life changing overseas experience the student exchange program can provide.

Student Exchange

Being an exchange student is a challenging, rewarding and fun experience. You're not a tourist or a guest. You'll attend school and live with a host family. You'll become immersed in the local community. Student Exchange Australia offers the following programs to Australian high school students between the ages of 15-18:

Summer Explorer Programs

  • Depart in November for 2 or 3 months
  • Live with a volunteer host family
  • Attend school
  • Boost your language skills

Semester or Year Programs

  • Departures early or mid year
  • Choose a semester or year away
  • Live with a volunteer host family
  • Attend school
  • Choose from 20 destinations
  • Gain independence and maturity
  • Learn about another culture
  • Gain fluency in your chosen language

Over 35 scholarships valued between $1,500 - $3,500 are available this year.
