Concept statement
This design represents sustainability – an uninterrupted cycle, and natural and easily regrown resources. As the guidelines say ‘It's about perpetuity’ - a continuous cycle represented by the symbol of infinity.
Where in the world would you go to and why?
Pretty much everywhere :) I've seriously got the travel bug. Right now i'm perparing to go on exchange to the French provinces of Canada. I want to go there because of the mix of cultures and intersting, engaging people and i'm looking forward to experiencing a totally different climate and learning a new language.
Favourite stuff?
Band: Stars, The Hush Sound Book(s): The Book Theif by Markus Zusak, The Remarkable Life and Times of Eliza Rose by Mary Hooper, Ophelia by Mark Klein, Finding Cassie Crazy by Jaclyn Moraity, On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta Pastime: right now my focus is totally on school but when i need a break i enjoy design, calligraphy and just relaxing with a good book and music or catching up with friends.
What will you be doing in 10 years?
In ten years I will be working as an engineer either in the design field or in something interesting like fatigue testing. By then i will have been travelling, gone to uni and hopefully stayed in touch with my amazing friends. I will still use design, calligraphy and sewing as creative outlets.
Why should you win this competition?
To me my design can be both a design (as shown) or a logo (resized/repositioned) that represents sustainable, perpetual, renewable resources. It meets the design brief as I interpreted it and is, I believe, asthetically interesting and pleasing.
