Concept statement

well my friend said to me one day "i like cats... they taste like chicken!" and i thought it was funny would be good to have on a shirt. i wanted to make a shirt that would stand out from others and be noticed and remembered. i wanted to make a shirt that a wide variety of people would like , not just one partkicular group or gender and so i thought putting a funny saying on it would be the best way to go!

Where in the world would you go to and why?

well ive never even been outside of south australia so going over seas would be a huge thing for me and an experience i would never ever forget and definately not take for granted! i would really love to be able to go somewhere like japan because the style and culture over there is totally different to here and its just so unique! theres so much to see and do and so much to learn from. id also love to go to england and be able to visit my family over there who i have never met before and also my friend pippa who moved away! that would just be so cool! id have such a great time in either place because they are so different from australia and i think i would learn so much in experiencing different places and cultures!

Favourite stuff?

item: my saxophone! i just love playing it and playing to suit the mood im in and i love playing with other people and performing! Pastime: spending time with my family and friends! im a pretty laid back easy going person so i just love to sit around and chill with all my buddies! Person: thats hard...theres so manyt great people in my life, i cant choose. Food: chocolate mousse! i just love it! id eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner every day of my life if i could! Movie: i dunno...but my fave tv show is scrubs and csi..and law and order. svu not the other ones..criminal intent sucks... Book: ill do all the nerds out there proud and say harry potter! Mag:...i dont really read magazines coz most of them r just full of junk..but ill say sain, u know from sanity?...yeah its free and has some cool posters sometimes so i like it...im so cheap! band: definately the calling! they r so cool! i just love all their stuff!

Three people you'd take to a desert island?

1st person would be my nana! shes got like everything you could ever need for life in her handbag! so we could make like a lil raft or something to go home on...unless there were sexy island guys...then we could make like a little island hut to stay in...then id take my friend elyse (who by the way is the one who said this cats thingo..yay go elyse woo! hazaa elyse!!!...ok thats enough...) yeah id take elyse coz shes such a winger and she would complain the whole time and keep me entertained..and then when she starts to annoy me ill let the island guys take her as a human sacrifice...and the next person would be....can the calling count as one person? they can, oh good!... nah well the next person id take would be billy connolly coz i missed out on tickets to go to his tour this year, so id kidnap him and then everyone who bought tickets would miss out and know how it feels! and id have my own lil private show! and then in the interval we can all eat fried elyse....hmm sounds like good fun!

What will you be doing in 10 years?

hopefully ill have my own design and art studio set up and ill have my own shop where ill sell all my products! that would be so cool! id have all sorts of stuff ive made in there and it would be the coolest place in the world!

Why should you win this competition?

well, i didnt even think id make it into the top 10 so i havent really thought about winning yet! well, id love to have the opportunity to go overseas or win the laptop, either one would be so great and benneficial for me! and i dont think i would be able to do either any time soon without something like this competition helping out. id love to be able to go overseas and experience all different cultures and see everything the world has to offer! i think my travel experiences would help me to realise different perspectives of life and the world around us and help me to see other peoples views and beliefs and i would be able to incorporate these experiences into my designs and art. also the laptop would be so useful for me! i have a huge family and we only have one really old and really really slow computer for all us kids to use and its getting really hard as we are all getting older and have so many things we need the computer for! at the moment most of my time on the computer is spent doing school work and as soon as im done i have to get off because other people need to use it, and so i have hardly any time to do any designing or anything like that. it would be really great if i could have my own computer because it means i would have a quiet place to do all my work and then have as much time as i want to do my designing and art! and also id be able to put on whatever designing programs i want without having to worry about it crashing! having a computer of my own would just make everything i need to do so much easier and i think my art and designs would be of a much better quality as i would have much more time to work on them. all the other finalists designs are excellent and i think we all have equal abilities, desires and reasons for winning this competition! so goodluck to all the finalists!
