Henry Chung talks about the design:

Hi everyone! This is my first design, I came up with the idea rather spontaneously. Basically the concept behind this design is that our dependence on driving is clogging up the planet. We drive even to for short distances. So if it's not too much of a hassle, hang up your keys and take a walk! Even the "transformers" like walking ! : ) **The robot is a completely original re-interpretation of a transformer. : )

awesome design! Love the concept, specially the colour....
GO! GO! GO! GO!

isn't that the power rangers dude??? its pretty cool... but did you really draw it on your own?

H, at 12:55AM on Jul 28, 2006
Thanks Matt. Nah, no I don't think so Aqua : ) This guy's my original design, only the concept was of a transforming robot was taken from transformers. My little cousin playing around with the bot gave me the inspration. Yup I did draw it from ground up! Took a while though, with all the inking, and clean up.

Haha if you're still skeptical about my authenticity : ) heres a scan of one Mr Robot in progress:

So what do you think about the colours and overall composition Aqua? The comments you gave on other designs were really observant : )

it's really good... I wouldn't have thought that the yellow shirt would have looked good because it was brigth.. but with your design it is really good and allows everything to stand out... i'd wear this anyday...

good... something positive for Aqua to comment on... Outstanding job. Would almost call the colour Orange. Wish I could draw that good. better than blue, but thats just bias on my behalf as Orange (as I percieve the colour of this shirt) is the best colour ever.

H, at 2:01AM on Jul 29, 2006
Haha, thanks again Aqua and Wessforde for the complements, the transformer wasn't actually hard to draw, it's just the same basic parts copied and pasted. The first step was to draw the CAR -now that was hard, actually took me 4 tries.

So what do you guy's think about the implied message? I was just wondering : )

Kajhal, at 8:11PM on Jul 29, 2006
Hey, i like the idea but i think the design needs to be worked on a bit! nice drawings but i think they will be a bit too small to appreciate when they are on the shirt... i like it but i donno if i would wear it. soz! good attempt though! better than most!

H, at 10:23PM on Jul 29, 2006
Thanks for the comment Kajhal. : ) So what do you mean by the design needing to be worked a bit more? It's the only way I'll learn : ). Oh the reason why I layed it out in this manner was not to make a design that fully eats up shirt area. Eck blame the resolution of the pics here. Umm here's a link to what the actual size (but not print resolution) should be on the shirt.

And here's 50% full printing res. Trust me : ) The details won't be lost haha : ), But yeah I do agree with you, I guess it's the subject of this shirt, you either love or hate : ), no in betweens.

I know what you mean that we drive too much... i don't like driving everywhere i have to say, i'd sometimes rather walk because you don't get stuck in traffic jams and you can stop and 'smell the roses' or just look and do stuff and think better... and besides its healthier for you to..

stopPOKINGme, at 9:30AM on Aug 4, 2006
ohh orange! i love orange, despite the geek factor I reckon I would wear this

5/5 why not!

W, at 3:46PM on Aug 4, 2006
Aqua, we live in Australia... our fricken roads are the opposite of packed... what is wrong with you

lildev, at 3:51PM on Aug 4, 2006
hey this is a really cool design! Although i wouldnt wear it cuz` i reckon its a guys shirt.. but i love how its in an 'evolution' approach. Nicely done!!

H, at 12:43AM on Aug 7, 2006
haha I love it how wessforde and aqua are invading the comments spectrum : ). Yeah I suppose the shirt really does have a geek factor to it ) RELEASE YOUR INNER GEEK PEOPLE! haha sigh... Oh yeah great point lildev there, right now it is kinda a guy's top I suppose with the subject matter and all... hmmm now I am intrigued, I think I just might try out ways to make this design more girly or unisex haha, well anyway when I was thinking up of the design in my mind, this more of an experiment with layouts and stuff. Anyway thanks!
